Analysis:

#Introduction: In this section, I have created a glimpse into what my twitter feed looks like. Over the weeks I spent putting together the website, I conducted an ethnography and autoethnography of my social media environment, studying the tweets from my mutual followers, as well as many other tweets that had shown up on my feed. Their social media handles and names have been changed to maintain privacy. Additionally, some of my personal tweets have been inserted into this selection. Ultimately, I aimed to understand trends of what non-influencer social media accounts post on a day to day basis, as well as to analyse what my social media environment says about me as an individual.

#AimsandOutcomes:There were a few main observations that I was hoping to encounter through my ethnography, and subsequent autoethnography. Primarily, I wanted to see if there were any political trends that I did not instantly register whilst scrolling through my own feed. Aside from an onslaught of tweets regarding current political affairs (I chose not to include those tweets, as I believed that to be distasteful), the nature of individual posts seemed to possess a particular political tone. For instance, the tweet by @limabeanie is a representation of an interaction that occurs quite often on my feed.
Due to the fact that twitter is a text-based, personal social media platform, it is reasonable for there to be such a strong anti-advertisement sentiment on my feed. Social media posts by brands are often dogpiled with hate messages in their comments, which show up on my own feed quite regularly. An anti-capitalist environment can be interpreted here.

#ConclusionAdditionally, there are many tweets that cater to or represent the communities that I am a part of. During pride month and black history month, my feed is flooded with countless tweets of celebration and existence. Many of these tweets take the form of inside jokes, ones that have existed on twitter for almost a decade. This is a representation of the tight-knit communities that have been formed on social media platforms, and how the internet can act as a haven for many minority individuals who don’t necessarily find solidarity in ‘the real world’.
