I discovered the internet at a time where its possibilities had not yet been established. five years old, hungry for enrichment, I was introduced to it through my family computer. How anything so beautiful, so alluring could exist on such a clunky device, I did not know. This was before the time of swipe and during the time of scroll, when websites were in their prime and appls were just being born. When long-form content was the norm, and words like brainrot , foid and incel had not yet crossed the ancestral planes of reddit. This website is part ethnography, part analysis, overall reflection on the history of the internet.
